I could have lived my life without seeing anthropomorphized cereal (mini-wheats) in a jacuzzi. How does that even work? (There are televisions at work tuned in to a 24-hour news channel.)

Soo...apparently I still cannot make fudge. Either that or the idea that honey can be substituted 1-1 for corn syrup is a crock. I must try it with something non-fudge.

Leons called and the new washer and dryer are to be delivered on Saturday. We may not be able to use the dryer right away - the old one is hardwired in, Steve says, and the new one requires a large and complicated plug if I remember correctly - but that's fine because it's summer and we can use the line. Wednesday we arranged the purchase of shiny new appliances.

Thursday the Check Engine light came on in the car.

Today we found out that the oxygen sensor is busted, and it'll be $500 parts and labour to repair it.
